OROGENESIS

This epic project aims to be the "longest mountain bike trail in the world" by linking up as much singletrack as possible along the western lip of the North American Tectonic Plate. It's already 95% complete!

Washington State to Baja Peninsula

Great Plains Gravel Route

This upcoming border-to-border gravel route will highlight the subtler beauty of the often-overlooked center of the US. The finished route, a passion project of several cyclists deeply involved in the Midwest gravel racing scene, is expected to debut in late 2023.

Texas to North Dakota

Great American Rail-Trail

This coast-to-coast bike touring route, when finished in a couple decades, will cross 3700 miles of the US on car-free multiuse recreation paths. It's a bike traveler's dream, but it's currently only 53% complete.

Washington D.C. to Washington State

Lost Sierra Route

Though not as long or direct as the others, this project offers a beautiful vision of connecting and revitalizing small communities using outdoor recreation. When complete it will connect 15 communities via multi-use singletrack through a scenic region full of national forest land.

Northern California

Eastern Divide Trail

This epic 6000 mile bikepacking route was recently ridden for the first time, so it's not fair to call it a "future" route, but I didn't want to leave it out! It finds a rugged but mostly non-technical path through the more remote areas of an otherwise populated region, taking riders on a tour of nature, history, and culture along the way.

Newfoundland to Florida

Your experienced riding buddy in digital form, there for you when you need it most (like in the middle of nowhere, with no internet).
