REVIEW

Blackburn Outpost Bikepacking Cargo Cage

Cargo cages are a great way to add extra capacity to a bikepacking setup, and the Outpost is my personal favorite. Here's my review after 5000+ miles of hauling water bottles and dry bags with several of these cages.

The Blackburn Outpost is wider and has a bigger base than some cargo cages, making it versatile enough for either a water bottle or a big dry bag.

Adjustability

The Outpost mounts to either 3-pack or 2-pack bolt patterns and has three oblong holes for each bolt. This means it's easy to keep weight low to the ground and avoid conflicts with other gear as you solve your bikepacking setup puzzles.

Straps

I really wish the Outpost Cargo Cage came with rubber straps. I've replaced all mine with Voile straps for easier cinching and a rattle-free ride.
