TITANIUM COOKWARE

for Backpacking

If you want to cook trail food with the lightest possible setup you need a titanium pot. Strong and feather-light, this amazing metal can make a 2-person pot for under 5 ounces!

Titanium's strength allows for thin walled pots that boil water quickly, perfect for preparing lightweight freeze dried meals with the "just add water" method.

Thin walls and relatively poor heat conduction make it harder to cook with fresh ingredients in titanium. You'll need a low flame setting, some oil, and undivided attention.

Disdvantages of Titanium

More expensive than most other materials Scorches food easily Can warp and discolor if too thin (but remains functional)

The lightest pot material Boils water efficiently Resists corrosion
